Taniwha Ventures use Kapa Haka and culture as a vehicle to help our whanau, Hapu and iwi strive, and contribute to positive pathways and outcomes for all.
Franklin Local Board have opened another door for us to make this happen by allocating funding to allow us to be creative and pursue the creation of our own community performing gear, made out of tapestry and using a significant design, designed by our very own members.
Through these workshops we will practice whakawhanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and kaitiakitanga, and laying foundations and tikanga to help with the care of our taonga. we are also striving to strengthen knowledge in Te Ao Māori to be able to inspire change within our community.
