Rhythmical

The Pukekohe Youth Centre is working in partnership with Te Ara Poutama Alternative Education Centre to provide a select group of young people with the opportunity to participate in a music programme across the first term of 2018.

The programme will comprise of songwriting, beats making, singing and creativity. It will also include other aspects of song production and working in the music industry.  The group is practising to perform in an outdoor music festival being arranged by an adjacent café in March 2018. They are also looking to busking in the square and local markets and arranging a concert for family and friends in the new year.

The aim is to assist youth to identify learning and career pathways within the music and sound industry, with the opportunities for music production and enhancing self esteem and confidence

The workshops will be lead by tutor Tiueli Papau (Tee), who also runs the Beats N Pieces group at Te Oro in Glen Innes.
