Steampunk Workshops

The Copper Krakens Steampunk Group will be holding monthly workshops at the Glenbrook Reserve Hall (next to the Glenbrook Kindergarten) utilising scrap, recycled and repurposed components to create amazing new pieces of steampunk costume and accessory.

Workshops are free and allow participants to use their imaginations and creative to make bespoke pieces of Steampunk fashion in a supportive atmosphere.

Workshops:

Sunday 29/09/19 – Making Steampunk Goggles from old disposable Coffee cups and biscuit packaging
Sunday 20/10/19 – Making Ray Blasters (using plastic guns as a base - found in Op Shops, old broken ones from home, or $2 shop purchases)
Sunday 17/11/19 – Hat decorating (showing how to repurpose bits and pieces you have at home – jewellery, fabric scraps, fabric paint, feathers, and other embellishments)
No booking for Dec
Sunday 26/01/20 – Teacup Holster or Ray Blaster Holster (using fabric scraps)
Sunday 23/02/20 – Make a Forearm cuff or a Pocket watch holster
Sunday 29/03/20 – Brooches and Medals of Honour (using Fimo, old badges, old jewellery, bits of fabric scraps, feathers, etc)
Sunday 19/04/20 – Re purposing old garments into Steampunk attire, using fabric paint, stencils, patches, old jewellery, etc  (bring an old shirt, waistcoat, jacket that fits you from home)
Sunday 24/05/20 – To be decided from Group interest (It could be fun to finish on Rocket Jet Packs, made from old Soft Drink bottles)
