Description:
After many months of preparation, Franklin Community Choir put on their Spring Calling concert in November at St. Patrick’s Church, Pukekohe. Conducted by Jonathan Dunlop and with 33 choir members, the programme was accompanied by a string ensemble followed by shared afternoon tea with the audience. The grant enabled the instrumentalists to accompany this voluntary choir for this special performance.

• supporting participation in local arts  
• enabling high quality musicianship to support the local choir
• enhancing access to live music opportunities
 
“New members of the audience said they were looking forward to returning to the choir’s next concert in 2025 and were pleased to be able to attend such a great concert in their own backyard, instead of having to travel into Auckland. The members of the string ensemble and organist were also impressed by the quality and commitment of the choir and would like to play with the choir again in the future.” Administrator Angela Faire
