18/19 Funding Applications

Are you a Franklin performer, musician, creative or artist?

Do you have a creative project that you’d like to make happen in the Franklin area between September 2018 and June 2019?

The Franklin Local Board, through the community arts broker programme, provides support for a range of community-based creative projects and submissions for funding are now open.

We are looking for Franklin based individuals and organisations to submit ideas for creative projects that happen in and with local communities. Previous projects have included: a series of free performances in Pukekohe town centre; a photo project with older people; a kapa haka programme; an arts trail in Clevedon, and lots more.

The arts broker programme can provide funding and other project support in a number of ways, from assistance navigating Council processes to writing a press release - let's talk about what you might need to make the project happen.

The project must take place in the Franklin Local Board area* between September 2018 and June 2019.

To submit a proposal, you’ll need to let us know:
- what your idea is, who's involved, when you plan to do it, and what the community involvement or outcomes are.
- a budget
- any supporting images you may have (optional)

Your project must:
- have a strong creative idea driving it
- give equal weight to creative ideas and community benefit
- have strong local connections

Proposals are due by 9am on August 27th, 2018 and should be completed online here.

If you'd like support putting your proposal documents together, or need to submit in another way apart from the online form, get in touch and we can work with you on this.

Previous funding amounts have ranged from $500 - $6,000.
