Symbiosis – mural project led by Robbi Cavarhlo - January 2025

The first of the temporary mural initiative launched by the Franklin Arts Centre was enabled by the arts broker scheme to hold a participative workshop with artist Robbi Carvalho to create a beautiful new panel titled Symbiosis. The panel is currently on show in the courtyard.

The mural serves as a visual catalyst for discussions about how our actions impact the natural world and, consequently, ourselves. Depicting a mythological being, part woman and part bird, part fish, part sapling, the imagery will evoke a deep sense of belonging, connection to nature, and our interdependence.
