Description: Artist-educator Margaret Feeney presented the Landscape Project, held in the Weta room at Franklin Art Gallery. The workshop drew on discussions on the importance of art in the community, and our connections to the environment. The resulting collaborative drawings, paintings and collage were exhibited at the Community Gallery in Pukekohe.
Outcomes : • addressing environmental awareness through arts activities • encouraging collaboration and open discussion through making • creating opportunities for Franklin residents to experiment and learn through structured arts facilitation
“I was fortunate to get a place on Margaret’s workshop. I loved the whole experience, but especially how she directed us while keeping an element of surprise e.g. the format of our painting and how we could connect it to the artists’ works on our right and left.” Workshop participant
